About Us
We are a christian foundation that is on a mission to improve the lives of disadvantaged, vulnerable children and young people in Uganda.
Center of Hope School Uganda (CHSU) was founded in 2020 and we work with local communities to develop strong, and literate communities who are able to meet family needs and help the communities to support their most vulnerable children. In 2020, the organization was recognized by Wante Village, Mayuge District Local Government as a C.B.O. The school 30 children offering them with shelter, medical, education and general welfare and also interacts with community children empowering them through dancing. Our aim is to nurture the children and raise them as better God fearing citizens that will carry on the baton and the message of reconciliation.

From the founder
I believe in the power of love to unite and transform people’s lives. Center of Hope School was founded by Pastor Mabonga Peter and is located in Wante Village, Mayuge district that’s where its based with an orphanage caring for 30 orphans hoping to help more orphans in time as God provides for He is the provider to every nations. Our mission centers on child and family development with focus on single mothers, large families, widows, and the handicapped. Our goal is to strengthen the existing family of an at-risk child through sponsorship assistance. We work to keep children in loving homes and out of orphanages and institutions. Our purpose is to transform the lives of vulnerable children and we know it takes time and effort.

Orphan Education
Education is the backbone for every civil economy and as Center of Hope School, we focus our attention on empowering communities in Uganda through sending vulnerable children to school. We are currently responsible for sending 30 children to school where we fully cater for their tuition fees and scholastic materials. We would love to appreciate loving friends who have partnered with us to provide termly tuition fees scholastic materials to the kids. Our focus is currently in orphan’s Education and we have a dream to launch our own school that will offer God centered Education setting a standard bar for literacy in academics and kingdom living. We welcome you to join us for your support is much appreciated.
Community Empowerment
The community empowerment targets mothers, widows AND elderly in order to empower them with welfare support and practical skills, that will make them self sustainable. We teach them to raise animals e.g. poultry, turkeys and goats for profit, and volunteers are expected to have knowledge of caring for animals and a willingness to do the animal rearing for better yield so they can sell the produce in exchange for household income. The community is also taught farming skills, and provided with seeds to grow their own crops with the best farming practices. Women are also sensitized about how to prevent the spread the spread of HIV/AIDS and other killer diseases like Malaria. Through this the women have also been taught to promote community sanitation, and hygiene in the communities.
Fellowship and Evangelism
We are a God fearing ministry based on the love of Christ and nurture the children shaping them and establishing them on Jesus Christ the rock of ages. We therefore always gather everyday with the children at our family altar for fellowship. Our fellowships involve worship, praise and prayer for all the children and has helped the kids learn about Jesus the fountain of hope. For children who have been hopeless, through these fellowships have their hope restored for they learn the Father in heaven cares for us all and loves us so much. We do this in partnership with our local church where the love of Christ is extended to our brethren still in darkness.
